Egypt has approved the use of chinese covid-19 vaccine developed by Sinopharm, according to the health minister they will commence vaccination in January, 2021.
Haka Zayed on Saturday said “the Egyptian pharmaceutical authority approved Sinopharm vaccine” via MBC Masr.
The first batch of the vaccine was delivered in December and the second scheduled for third or second week of January. Haka Zayed added “Egypt will procure 40 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine”
Each vaccine shipment has 50,000 doses and the top priority to be vaccinated are health workers.
